The steady rhythm of Tyler’s boots echoed lightly as he stepped into Sickbay, his uniform worn crisp and proper. Outwardly, he carried himself with the same easy confidence he always projected — shoulders squared, chin lifted just slightly — but his eyes betrayed a flicker of unease.

Physically, he knew he was in top shape. Hours in the gym, training, sparring… he kept his body sharp, and he was proud of that. But there was always the other side of it — the shadow of the virus that still lingered in his brain. It wasn’t something anyone could see on the surface, but it was always there, waiting.

A nurse walked by and Tyler politely stopped them. “I’m Tyler Wells, here for my boarding physical.”

Nurse Jolly beamed warmly at the newcomer. “Of course, please do come in!” She chuckled as she bounced over and guided him to a free biobed. “Now you just hop up there and I’ll go and round up a doctor for you,” she added as she skipped into the next room. “Don’t run away!” She called on the way out.

A few moments later, Charlie popped her head round the corner. “Lt Wells?” She asked as she approached. “I see you’ve already met Nurse Jolly?” She added with a chuckle. Although still relatively new to the crew, Charlie was well acquainted with the ray of sunshine that was the slightly odd Nurse Jolly.

“I understand you’re here for your physical?” She asked as she pulled up Wells’ records on the screen. “Do you have anything to report since your last physical exam?” She added.
