“PaDD, Comm badge, tricorder, extra uniform, papers, commission, family photo, tools and grooming kit.” The Caitian says as he puts everything back into the Starfleet standard duffel bag.

“You’ve checked that bag six times this trip Ensign.” The NE Jaun said.

“Better to over check than not at enough sir.” Sha’ow says with a twitch of a whisker that denoted a smile.

“Fair point Ensign. Ah here we go,” The force field noiselessly cracked on the view screen and vanished, ” Your new home welcome to the Athena Ensign, make your way to the quarter master get your assigned bunk, I am sure you know the rest.” Juan smiles over his shoulder.

Sha’ow’s tail swayed back and forth, this is exciting, a proper federation starship, its huge. The image that had been on the view screen had done the Athena justice not one bit. Of he knew that Starships are large he wasn’t raised in the last litter but the sheer scale was… Was almost mind blowing, lucky for him mind blowing is actually a nice feeling.

With a heft he picked up his duffel bag and walked to the quarter masters station.

“Ensign Sha’ow reporting for duty as commissioned by Star Fleet, sir.” He offers his Commission and PaDD to the NE at the station.

“Welcome aboard Ensign Sha’ow. Your bunk is going be in the Junior Officers quarters on Deck 40 so you will be near engineering.” He offers back the PaDD.

Sha’ow nods along. “Drop my bag off, and meet with,” he pauses, “The Department head, The Doctor, The ships counsellor and the Captain.” Again his whiskers twitch with excitement. “Thank you sir.”

The Quarter Master smiles, “Again welcome aboard Ensign.” And he is gestured to the exit of the shuttle bay.
