Sha’ow turns the family photo to a slight angle so he can see it with minimal glare from the light shining from the LCARS display.

“Yes, yes much better.” He purrs, “Not perfect but better. And better is good.” His whiskers twitch slightly.

Backing out of his bunk he stands to his full 4‘8” height and lets out a yawn with large stretch arms high.

“Okay, okay, okay, time to go, time to go.” He mutters to himself as he adjusts his comm badge and checks his pip for the twelfth time since unpacking his bag.

With PaDD under his arm he makes his way to main engineering stopping at a few displays admiring the colours and flashing lights.

“So much brighter than in the holodeck.” He muses.

It doesn’t take long dispute his short legs to make it to main engineering, the Quarter master was right the billeting on deck 40 was nice and close to main engineering. “Very efficient.”

Main engineering was humming, it was a welcoming hum like an old song or the sound of water cascading down rocks. His ears dance picking up unique sounds of conduits, power cells and dull hum of the warp core.

Reaching up he presses the door bell to the chief engineers office.

He straightens his pip again.
