Tapping her fingers on the desk, Janna sat back in her seat and pondered. She had just had an interesting conversation with a crew member who expressed concern about a fellow officer and she was debating how to go about addressing it. While not all ‘tips’ were things to be acted on, the last mission was definitely on the order of mildly traumatic for everyone involved. Some had great coping skills and were able to manage the subsequent mix of emotions, but others weren’t quite so adept or had specifically difficult experiences on the planet that they might not even fully realize they were struggling with.

She checked the time. 1400 hours. “Computer, what is the location of Ensign Karina Niles?”

=^= Ensign Niles is on holdeck 2=^= The computer replied. A query would find the program was private. Security clearance would reveal a Klingon combat program was running.

“Right, of course,” Janna said with a sigh. She got up from her desk, finished off her glass of water and then left her office, proceeding to Deck 17, where the entrance to Holodeck 2 was.

Standing at the entrance, Janna was not going to just barge in, since that wouldn’t be very productive. Instead, she activated the comm within the holodeck. “Ensign Niles, it’s Lieutenant Kingston, with the counselling department. Mind if I join you?”
