“Is dat such a good idea?” Ghubari pondered aloud as her eyes drifted to the side where the glass had disappeared. She saw legs and looked up. And up. She wasn’t exactly a short person, but the Nausicaan looking down at her certainly towered over Ghubari. At least for a moment before he bent down to gaze into the eyes of the clearly tipsy woman.

“That was rude,” he snarled. “And I think you should apologize.”

Her brows lifted, creasing against her leaf-shaped forehead ridge. “I’m sorry fer gettin’ yer shoes all wet, buh it’s pretty rude to get all up in my face about it.” She reached out, pointing her index finger. “Maybe you should back off,” she said, just mindful not to actually touch the Nausicaan. She didn’t want to start a fight after all.

U oh, Julien thought, as he followed Ghubari’s glance. If this was a typical Nausican, the point of no return towards a fight was already behind them, but he was happy with Ghubari handling the situation. All he did was to edge a bit closer and lean forward a bit, just so he was in easy reach of the space between Ghubari and the Nausican, shifting his weight on his right leg and bracing his arm on the table so he could get up quickly.

The Nausicaan looked at the finger and then at her. “And if I don’t, what are you going to do about it?” he snarled some more.

Ghubari just smirked and starting chuckling. “I think it would be best if we din’t find out.”

He leaned in closer as if to intimidate her, but Koraia didn’t budge and held her seat and position. “I disagree,” he said, ignoring Julien entirely.

His respect for Ghubari rose steeply as he watched her holding her ground in this situation. She was a fighter! He admired women like her. Patricia was like that. The thought of her made his heart ache, he missed her badly.

The Nausican was too close now though, and he had more weight, strength and a much harder skull and bone physique than Ghubari. If he decided to lash out at her now, she would probably catch the hit, because she was fast, but it may still hurt her or upset her equilibrium - especially as tipsy as she was.

The fight was inevitable right now, but maybe he could end this swiftly. He leaned forward, right side to the front, while also charting out the immediate area around and behind the Nausican.
“Back off and walk away now.” he said in a normal voice but with conviction.
