Orvos grinned and bowed. “Very well, good sir! Should we have any other questions, we will be in touch.” He waited to see if the man had a counter response.

He elected simply to end the transmission.

When the transmission was cut, he then turned to his crew in a more serious tone. “They very clearly had to know something given they’re the only ones here. Have we detected anything warranting attention? Thoughts on all of it? Speak up!”

Hammor turned and said “Well, the whole place is a conglomeration of old- sometimes really old- ships and such. I didn’t find any registries or sign of our missing ships but I did get a match to a stolen shuttle out of Outpost 42. That might give us just cause to investigate further. Oh, and one ship in there still has flight capabilities and can detach. It is located… here.” He put up his preliminary map of the facility on the main screen with the shuttle, the detachable ship, and the command center marked.

Faye turned in her seat. “I have something, or rather the beginning of something,” she announced. “Three of the five ships attacked were Starfleet vessels, and all the crews were killed. But the two civilian ships were owned by their captain, and their crews are missing. Further, it seems there was a Starfleet Intelligence operative onboard the Dawn Treader. In what capacity, I don’t know, but that’s my next investigative thread.”

Orvos looked to the main viewer and observed the schematics his CE had highlighted. “A shuttle from Outpost 42. How old is it? Any chance we can get any reports on a missing shuttle from there? At the very least, I agree Mr. Hammor. Definitely a reason to investigate further. What do we know about that ship that’s docked?”

Orvos turned to Faye. “The Dawn Treader? I assume that’s a civilian vessel? In any case, it seems they have it out for Starfleet at the minimum. What were the ship classes of each vessel? I want to know just how seriously the Athena could put itself at risk by poking around too much.”

Orvos began pacing in thought. “We’re faced with an option or two I believe. We know they’re hiding things, we have reason to investigate pubicly. Do we also risk an away team on a stealth mission? In the event of getting caught, it may put us in a bad situation. However, I do see the benefit in the risk. Get in, figure out what they’re hiding, adjust mission as needed. Please, be frank. Share your thoughts and concerns.” His pacing stopped and he faced the bridge crew upon his final sentence.

Hammor looked at the layout for a minute and then said “Facility like this, this remote… they’re going to know one another; be familiar with who is supposed to be there. If we decide to do an Away Team operation, Captain, I would strongly advise against just beaming in somewhere. The away team would have to arrive- maybe in a shuttle of their own or something- not just suddenly be there.”
