The lights to the briefing room were on. The curved table that was at the center of the curved room had twelve chairs neatly along the perimeter of the furniture. The holo-projector sat at the center of the table while the wall against the bridge was adorned with a large display screen. A replicator could be seen at the opposite end of the room for basic drinks and such. It was Orvos’s common practice that should anyone desire a drink at any point, that they should immediately help themselves.

For the moment, Orvos was compiling in his ready room what information he and Stone had gathered on the bridge.

Hammor walked in directly from the bridge and took a seat at the far end of the table. He wasn’t sure what exactly was going on, but he was a bit excited to be on his first mission as the CE of the Athena.

Benjamin entered the Briefing room exactly at the ten-minute mark “Sir” He said in greeting to the Captain before finding his usual seat at the table. It had been a relatively unremarkable morning so far although he did have a tonsillectomy on the schedule later that afternoon, a minor surgery that had been delayed too often by the patient in question.

Faye slipped in and moved to sit next to Daggum. She leaned in to him and whispered. “Ships being attacked in an asteroid belt. Dead or missing crews.” Sure, he was about to get the full picture, that that was the basic summary and would hopefully help him frame this conversation.

A couple minutes later, Janna stepped in and assessed the mood of the room (much easier now than ever before). She grabbed herself a coffee and and took her seat a couple down from Orvos’ left. Kingston turned her gaze on the Captain knowing he would fill them in when ready.
