Cara blushed and smiled softly, “Thank you, it’s just something I do as a hobby, or to keep myself calm,” he said glad it wasn’t bothering anyone. “growing up in the middle f nowhere you pick up all kinds of strange habits,” Cara joked, a bit of a twinkle entering her deep green eyes.

“Everyone has their thing,” Janna remarked simply. As a psychologist, she knew this was especially true under moments of intense pressure. The ones that managed the best usually had a mechanism for coping.

“Strangeness is a necessary ingredient in beauty” Benjamin quoted… something. He wasn’t sure where he’d read that “But let’s save the singing for our inevitable smooth landing, in celebration.” He didn’t look back.

Cara realized she liked Dr. Grey and Janna a great deal they were kind people. She kept her mouth closed as Dr. Grey suggested not wanting to distract their pilot. All there was to do was breath and listen to the universe that was spinning around them. In the silence it felt as if the heartbeats of the crew in the escape pod all hammared fast together in unison pleading in a silent prayer to let them live, they all wanted to live.

“Here we go,” Kingston remarked as the pod glowed with burn of re-entry. She could feel the speed slow as the system calculated the safest possible re-entry speed for landing. though strapped in, Janna leaned forward a bit and wrapped her arms around her head. While any impact against her body was problem, it was significantly less so with her arms than her head. She was trying not to stress, but there would always be a bit of apprehension given her medical condition.
