Ben stood on a dark blue diving board looking down at a slight drop of twenty feet into a blue pool. It was a simulation of the Starfleet Academy pools in San Fransisco, Earth, where he’d spent much of his limited free time nearly a decade ago when he was a cadet, he’d always had fond memories of the swimming facilities there so whenever he could he went to the Holodeck to visit. He stood there for a moment in his standard issue Starfleet swimming trunks and looked down before going in a diving stance and leaping down, hands first. A moment later he broke the water and immediately started swimming across the bottom, gaining decent distance underwater before coming up, practised movement brought him to the other end of the pool in no time at all. He used his hand to hoist himself up and sat, legs still in the chilly pool then started wiping his face free of water and sighed contentedly

Marishka knew she had arrived at the wrong holiday, but what to do? Stepping in she realized where she was, but luckily Ben was still beneath the water and wouldn’t have noticed her yet. Quickly she gathered appropriate clothing and went to the proper end of the pool.

Ben finished wiping off the water on his face sitting at the other end of the pool and looked up, he was startled at the sight of someone green at the other end “Miss Marishka?” He said in a questioning tone. The main reason he enjoyed the pool was that the artificial chemicals helped dull his overly sensitive sense of smell so having someone enter the same room as he became a possibility. He wiped his hair back a look of confused amusement on his face. “Welcome, I guess.”

“My apologies, I guess. You’re certainly not Ted. I got the wrong holodeck. I was supposed to be teaching a cooking class. Yeah, quick change from a chef outfit I guess.”

Marishka made a mental note to chastise her favorite bar back. He was absolutely terrible at times and places but damn the man could cook. So, here she was in a holodeck with someone that she interacted with quite frequently but didn’t really know that well. What to do?
