So the gist was just wear the monitor. It wasn’t like Janna had any overt control over what she did or didn’t pick up. Things just… happened. “Obviously, I will tell Orvos, but since this does affect how I go about my duties, and we don’t know what all will happen, I will talk to Commander Stone myself. Save you that conversation.” It meant sharing a lot more, but she liked Serena and she felt like they were becoming friends even though the bulk of their interactions had bene clinical thus far.

Ben scratched his chin “Right now the most important thing for you is to learn conscious control of your abilities. It’ll be hard as this is learning to use a proverbial muscle that you’ve never had before” He paused “I wonder if telepathic species make children’s books explaining how to use their abilities” He sounded serious, this wasn’t him being funny “Perhaps we can make some inquiries”.

Janna nodded and slipped off the biobed. So far her burgeoning abilities weren’t overwhelming, but would that change? They had no way to know. It would be helpful to have things prepared in advance for any eventuality. “Alright, it sounds like a plan. When do you want me to come back?” She just assumed he’d want to do a check-up on a regular basis. She was just going to have to be fine with that.

Ben considered for a moment “Let’s give it a week to develop, If the scanner picks up anything odd I’ll call you in earlier but a weekly checkup should be enough. Of course if you detect any additional developments don’t hesitate to call me”
