Lt. Ducante arrived at Lt. Shock’s office. He had completed the tasks set forth by the Starbase doctors, and ship doctors to be fully reinstated to duty after his surgery. Lt. Shock’s door was open and he was packing his things in boxes.
“Sir, I was told you were leaving. I hoped I’d catch you before you left.” Lt. Ducante started speaking. “I also hoped it was not true, it has been a pleasure serving under your leadership, and I will miss you.” He stated, trying to hold back his emotions.
