When it returned, the missing officers had been returned to their own ships and timelines, though their recollections of the other time would quickly become foggy. The power of the explosion closed the phenomenon and sent the ships back where they belonged. It will be centuries before anyone can confirm whether the phenomenon remained closed.

After the Athena had gone, a temporal ship came and went. They studied the residual effects and reported that the Athena may have become tainted. A file was opened on the crew of the Athena, and though they would never know it, their continued operations were monitored closely.

The Athena was recalled to starbase to debrief and receive new orders.
