Liam arrived first. His hand reached out pressed a digit code into the console. Inside, the holodeck materialized a putt-putt golf course for the next few hours. The CSO thought it might be a causal and distracting way to have their next session.
He stepped into the room, greeted by a galaxy themed park. Stars twinkled overhead with planets darting across the walls. The first hole was a simple one with a large ringed planet at the end of a narrow strip. Small cartoonist stars dotted the turf midway and displayed a single path to the end. A putter just had to find the right ‘path’ to the end.
In the back of his head, Liam hoped Ms. Kingston wouldn’t find the activity too immature. The other options were far worst.

The moment Janna stepped into the holodeck she broke into a smile. She still didn’t know Liam as a person very well and so she was surprised by the setting. It seemed incongruous to their previous chats. But instead of it worrying her it actually made her happy since she felt he was letting her in a bit. She wandered over wearing a grin. “Well this sure beats my office. It’s a first for a session and I love the idea.”

When Liam spotted Kingston’s smile, his tension faded form his form and he twisted to face her. He took a putter out of his bag and offered the handle politely. A warm glow etched across his core causing his eyes to soften. Any self deprivation over his decision evaporated as he replied.
“I’m glad to see you’re excited. How about you go first?”
-CSO, Liam J. Madison, Sci.
“Sure!” she said, accepting the putter from him. “I can’t say I’ve ever played but I know the concept and I’m not terrible at pool. At the end of day it’s all physics, yeah?”
Janna set a ball down at the beginning marker, eyed the hole at the planet and gave a good tap. The ball rolled and looked like it might make it but she had been just a little too gentle and it stopped about ten centimeters from the hole. She smirked, shrugged and looked back at him. “Your turn, right? Or do I go again so I’m not in the way?”
