“Oh… they’ll try.” Grogan said with barely concealed glee. “But I am going to make sure that neither of them breathe a breath of free air for at least as long as I live… and I’m gonna outlive them by a factor of ten, if I have to.” Daggum softly cleared his throat and said “Okay. What do you need from us?” he asked as he set his hand on Faye’s. Grogan said “Right now, I need you keep your mom engaged. Then I’m going to need you to find me someone on Orion that knows the law and you can trust. I know, I know… that’s like asking you to find a virgin in an orgy. But we need someone there to run that side. If we are going to take down Gallren.... and we most certainly are… we need someone to get him to step over the on Orion. Or at least for Orion interests. That will give me the leverage needed to get him in front of a court-martial. And I do so love a good court-martial.”

Well… sh!t. Everything else of Daggum’s recent enterprise on Orion had been dealt with by himself or Paul, and they had left Faye out of it. For a lot of really good reasons. This time though, it was a favour she felt she needed to ask. “We have contacts on Orion, and I think we can come up with someone on the legal side who can act as proxy.” The thing about her contacts on Orion was that one had at least partially operated within the law business wise, and the other might not have a lot of status, but she was free now and working for Dag’s project. Linella was an observant and intelligent woman and Faye knew she’d help Faye and Daggum out. Besides, despite a couple messages, they hadn’t actually talked since their visit during their honeymoon and she had to admit that she’d really like to talk with the older Trill woman soon. And if Linella couldn’t hep them, well, between Kodell and Paul, she was sure someone could be found who’d fit the bill.

“Get me their info and make the introductions. And do it soon. I want to get on this before they even think they are in someone’s sights.” Grogan said. Daggum looked at Faye and he smiled. “Oh… oh I really want to do this. A corrupt Admiral and a manipulating Orion Syndicate agent? Faye… it’s like the best wedding present ever.” and he laughed.

She grinned and leaned in, gazing at the captain with gratitude. “After the lives we’ve had, we’re considering our whole first year our honeymoon, so we really appreciate this lovely gift you’ve given us. I’ll make some calls and get back to you asap.” She looked down at Daggum. “Can’t disappoint my husband now.”

“Good.” Grogan said and the comms went dark. Daggum looked at her and said “Ok. So what are you thinking? Or rather… who are you thinking?”
