Just prior to 1900 hours, Ghubari slipped into the empty holosuite and had the computer start up one of her programs. When Luka entered, she’d walk right through the front door and find herself inside a whitewashed building with an open floor living space. In the middle was a long counter with a sink that formed an island and was parallel to the cooking area that overlooked the back ‘yard’. Said yard was really just a dry ground with an improvised garden that opened up onto a set of plains with acacia trees dotted here and there and dry grasses. If there was a source of water, it was no where to be seen.Luka stepped into the holosuite and glanced around the room, paying particular interest to the environment outside the window. Dry grasses and savanna-type trees as far as the eye could see. Similar to the plains of Tha’var, she reflected. Luka had anticipated that the dress code would not be formal or uniform and had slipped into one of the robes she had brought on-board. There wasn’t much gendered apparel on Galdor - the need for distinct fashions for each of the four terrestrial races was canvas enough for designers, and their physical sexual dimorphism was scant. Her robe was a nice pinkish-beige colour with pale pink trim. She was quite fond of this particular robe.
Dressed in a black tank top and a intricately patterned black and purple wrap skirt, Ghubari was at the kitchen island, chopping something on a heavy wooden cutting board that was releasing a rather pungent smell into the space. The the left of the entryway was a sitting area with a sofa, coffee table and chairs, and to the right was a dining area that had a lovely view of the front of the house and the little village they were situated in.
“Come on in, Luka,” Koraia said warmly, though she was clearly focused on not chopping off her fingers as she deftly chopped the large onion she rolled onto her cutting board.

Luka startled slightly when the Captain spoke, having been distracted by her musings and her examination of the space. She smiled slightly. “Hello, Captain. This is certainly an interesting simulation. I hope the food isn’t holographic too,” she joked quietly as she stepped over, her paws feeling the warmth of the floor. “Is there anything I can do to help out?”

Koraia pointed the tip of her large knife towards at the Laleri and waggled it as she shook her head. “Nope, wrong address. I don’t see any captains here, do you?” she asked with twinkle in her pale amber eyes.
Luka sputtered slightly, then nodded. “Of course, Ghubari,” she blinked. Her ears flicked back for a second before relaxing back to their forward facing stance. “One can never be too sure. Captain Shore was a little more strict about that kind of thing,” she said with a small smile.
“The food is replicated and edible, and as to whether you can help out, that all depends on whether you can cook? Still, a good kitchen assistant wouldn’t be amiss.” Her tone was seemingly serious, but the cadence was relaxed and Ghubari’s demeanour was certainly less forma than earlier.

“Well, as long as you’re okay with a little fur in your salad,” she said, lifting up her hands. One of the reasons they hired Hatriku chefs for events where they were feeding alien visitors. Humans and aliens like them were particular about hair in their food, while Laleri mostly could care less.
