On the bridge of the USS Shai, in the 28th century, a full crew complement turned and stared in wonder at what would have registered as an intruder had he beamed in, but he just… appeared. He wasn’t there and then he was. Given the present situation, they couldn’t assume anything. The Captain stood up and turned to the ops station where now two people stood. He looked at the stranger and vaguely recognizing the uniform from historical records said simply “Welcome aboard the Shai.”

Hammor looked around for a moment and then cursed… loudly. He took a breath and then said “Lieutenant Commander Daggum Hammor, Chief Operations Officer, USS Athena. I’d ask for permission to come aboard, sir; but I think the opportunity has passed.” He looked around the bridge and simply said “How can I help?”

Hammor, Ops

The Captain chuckled. “Captain Michael Tigh. Next to you is our Chief of Operations, Lieutenant Dahlia.” He stepped a little closer. “Until we get… whatever this is- whatever brought you here- under control, consider this a temporary transfer. Lieutenant Commander, work with our science team. Tell them what the other ship knows. Put it together with what we know. I’d like some kind of suggestion as quickly as you can make it.”

Daggum shrugged and said “I don’t know if we know any more than you do.” He turned andblooked the science station and said “Ok, here is what we k ow and what we think.” and he proceeded to bring the Shai crew up to speed. He then turned and looked at the Ops officer. “Can you please send word that I am OK and here? I don’t want the Athena thinking I’m lost… at least, not yet.” and he gave a rueful smile.

Hammor, Ops

The Ops officer with whom he had been communicating sent a message to that effect. A Vulcan science officer stood and spoke “Lieutenant T’Vros, Science. We may not even be the only two vessels caught in this phenomenon. Yet… we appear to be transposing with one another. Which cannot be allowed for the sake of the timeline.”

“Unless this already happened. Can you check your logs and see what you have on the USS Athena?” Hammor said as he looked at the Ops officer and said “Pleasure to meet you in person.” and he chuckled.

Hammor, Ops

“Pleasure to meet you as well. No reply yet.” The Ops officer responded. “But who knows if there’s a dilation between the two ships?” Captain Tigh walked over. “There’s entirely too much we don’t know.”

A message came through. Acknowledged. Currently, we’ve reversed the tractor beam’s polarity and Hammor disappeared shortly after. We’re currently open to any idea you might have to sever this connection.
