She grinned at him. “Yes, our usual way is one of my favourites. Very few things get me to stop thinking. That one works every time.”
Faye moved to sit at the table. “Come on, let’s not let this amazing food go to waste.” Which a comical thing to say to her giant of an Orion husband and why it was so funny. She immediately went for the spiced oranges that were the appetizer. “Mmm, almost as good as I remember, and it’s only because the setting then was hard to beat.”

Daggum smiled and speared two oranges himself. “Yeah… I seriously don’t know how we can top that one dinner.” and he ate the oranges and smiled. “But I do know I am looking forward to spending the rest of our lives trying to.” he said around the mouthful.

Faye dug into her food with a goofy grin, not dissimilar to the one she had walked into Alex’s ready room wearing the morning after her and Dag confessed their feelings and made plans to meet. “You know, I’ve been thinking back to that moment when the wormhole opened and I had that mind dump. Do you remember how it didn’t hurt and it felt familiar? There’s something about it that’s pricking in the back of my mind lately and i jut can’t place my finger on it.”
~Faye
Daggum looked at her for a moment and then said “Ok. Wanna talk it through and see if we can figure it out?” He was all-too familiar with her mind dumps, even though she hadn’t had one in a while, and one of the things that could help was trying to sort through the event. “Maybe something in there ties to whats happening now?”
Daggum
There were few people she fully let in on her weird and quirky brain. Not only could it be dangerous, but few people were truly worthy. She had to be cautious, after all. “Okay…” Faye twirled an orange in its own juice with her fork. “So, you showed me the wormhole and as it burst open, I felt overwhelmed. We were standing on that clear deck and you held me as if you were afraid I’d fall in. Everything slowed down, and it was like everything was clicking into place. And then I tried to explain to you what was happening, how I could remember bits and pieces of my mind dumps. But I haven’t had one since then. But time passes weird since I came to the Athena. I’m worried I’m dissociating without realizing it, but it too feels a bit different.”
~Faye
“Dissociating how, exactly?” he asked. There was concern in his voice, but it wasn’t overwhelming. “Do you mean… like it’s a gradual thing? Happening over a long period?” He thought a moment and then said “Well… you could at least sort the information easier.”

Faye dug into her beef tips, cutting off small pieces. “More like, I’m doing something and my brain is idle and then low and behold a whole whack of time has passed. Like when I was on the holodeck in the program of my garden that Alex made for me. Two hours passed by, Dag. And yes I was stressed, but I wasn’t in a flight or fight moment of overwhelm like I would be when I do dissociate. This wasn’t that kind of moment. And it’s not like I’m actively recalling anything during these blank times, but I can’t say I’m not subconsciously either.” She shrugged her shoulders and popped a bite into her mouth.
~Faye
Daggum though for a moment, twirling his fork in his fingers as he stared at the window. “Huh… I wonder if you brain is adapting to the influx of information stored in it? Organizing it in the background, sending out bits and pieces as the effort to keep it organized gets too much. And when you are blanking… maybe thats your brain doing a kind of soft reboot? Have you talked to Janna about it? Or gone to Medical?”
