Jayden walked on the bridge and immediately saw his counterpart, who had remained silent the whole time. He looked at his time twin who just shrugged. He walked over to him and stood beside him. The new Jayden whispered to the older one.

“Normally this would freak me out, but for some reason it isn’t.”

Jayden nodded, “Yep.” he replied quietly.

The two Koraias took in the newcomer. “Does this mean our party is just about wrapped up?” the Current Ghubari said. Oh to have this day done with!

Meryidiyth nodded and smiled but the smile didn’t reach her eyes. “Once the reintegration process has been completed, we will assist you back to your own time where Mrs Dulmur and Lucsly eagerly await you for a debrief”. Her eyes looked on each one in the bridge in turn and then she looked back at the Captain “You are irreversibly written in the annals of History Captain and time shielded records will ensure it remains that way.”

She looked over at R’han, “Remember me when you rule the universe” she dead panned and this time the smile did reach her eyes.

“Lucky us,” Koraia said dryly. “At least it’s a bit more than a nebula this time.” It was a joke, but since so much of their major assignments ended up shrouded in secrecy, she was getting used to the anonymity.

Konral smirked as Meryidyth, this has been a hell of a time, doubles war ship loss… so to speak. If this wasn’t the most bizarre time he had experienced it was damn close.

Stark bent over the prone form of Nico still lying next to the dead body of Pierce. Nico was breathing steadily but for some reason Stark didn’t want to disturb him just yet.

It wasn’t that she had ignored Nico but with everything going on, Ghubari’s attention was fractured. Out of the corner of her eye, she watched Stark crouch down by her companion and she frowned. There was a strange feeling in her she couldn’t exactly explain. “He’s okay, but… something is happening,” she said softly with a frown.
