Thirty minutes passed and Daggum hadn’t really moved, letting the super-hot water and steam relax his muscles and ease his mind. “I’m good for company if you still want to!” he yelled through the door.

Daggum

Faye couldn’t help the grin that slipped on to her face. She set her reading and her cat to the side and got up, unzipping her jacket. She draped it over the back of her usual dining chair and moved to the bedroom. She appeared a minute later, devoid of clothes and simply slipped into the bathroom.

Her eyes drank in the swaths of green skin and without a word, Faye simply slipped into the large tub with him, snuggling in against his body, her head nestled in the crook of his arm. I love you,” she said softly.

Daggum’s head rested back and his eyes were closed as he took a deep breath and slowly exhaled. “I know.” he replied, and then grinned broadly.

“Good.” Sometimes everything between them was just so very simple.

“So. When we are finished here do you want to see the file Paul sent? Vid of the place since we took over.” he asked without opening his eyes.

Daggum

“Yeah, definitely,” Faye said, her outwards arm draped over his broad chest, her fingertips barely reaching his other arm. But that didn’t stop those fingertips from tracing a small path up and down his skin. “Has a lot changed already?”

“Oh yeah…” Daggum said, although if that was in reference to the arena or her touch was anyone’s guess. “They’ve done a great job.” and he opened his eyes and looked at her and smiled. “You always look so much better in nothing than in clothes…” and he grinned wickedly.
