“I think that entirely depends on the partner.” Daggum said. “But if that is what you want, go get it. Trust me. I spent a lot of time hiding my work, too. But I wouldn’t change anything for where I am right now.” and he rolled his shoulder a bit and winced. “Except where that damn dog bit me. I don’t think I will ever want an animal now.” and he laughed.

Hammor, Ops

Janna grinned at him, though her expression was also empathetic. “Make sure you take it easy, you hear?”

She tossed back the last of her third drink and set the glass to the side, before reaching for more food. She thought about how she had played her game of story invention with Daggum that one night in the lounge. “I need a new hobby. I love people watching, but I’m starting to realize how much it’s just a replacement for work when I’m off duty. You know, the counsellor keeping herself separate and professional.”

Daggum looked thoughtful and said “Like what? Physical? Arts and crafts? Something with other people or solo? There’s a ton out there, for certain.” He downed his drink and also moved more to the food.

Daggum

Janna threw her hands out to the sides, nearly topping her drink glass. “No clue!” she said with a laugh. “I mean, sports are out, obviously. I’ve never been very musical, though admittedly I’ve never really tried much.” She rested her fingertips on the edge of the table and leaned forward. “It’s kind of exciting, actually. A whole host of possibilities and any one of them could be something I find I’m good at.”

Daggum nodded and said “Sure… sure. But hobbies aren’t just about doing something you are good at. I5 should be something you enjoy… whether you are good at it or not. As long as it brings you joy, that’s the important part. That’s why I collect comic books. I can’t draw or write a story to save my life… but I love reading those stories and looking at those pictures. I like learning about the history of the characters, crossovers… all of that stuff. Its just fun.”

Daggum

“Well, I do read for pleasure, but I spend so much of my day reading when I’m not actively in session that something else entirely would be nice,” she said, pondering for a moment before she just shook her head. “I honestly don’t know and I think that three drinks might not help me decide,” she said before chuckling. Her head was feeling a bit heavy and her whole body was relaxed.

“I should ask Orvos. He would probably have some insight,” she said, a rather giddy grin slipping onto her face. Insight indeed! It didn’t even occur to her that she had said his name aloud.

Daggum grinned and said “Ah, the mystery man revealed.” and he chuckled. “Don’t worry, your secret is safe with me.” He looked at her and said “Oh, and by the way… you are drunk.” and he laughed. “But you are right. Choices made while drunk are usually not the best choices. Although… sometimess they ca be a hell of a lot of fun.” and he laughed again.
