She laughed as well. “Yeah, and I suspect I won’t have much of a chance to convince you otherwise.” Janna knocked back a large amount of her drink and felt suddenly warmed. She grinned at the server. Two more of these,” she said pointing to the drink. “And a plate of honey-garlic wings.” She cast her gaze to Daggum. “So you don’t have to share,” she said with a wink.

Janna downed the rest of her drink as the server set down the next two and she eyed them before eyeing Daggum. “Risks huh? Would you believe I’ve never been drunk? Nothing more than a pleasant buzz.”

Daggum cocked an eyebrow at her and said “Really? Not even the Academy? I thought it was a prerequisite to graduation to go The Lighthouse, that old dive bar across from the main entrance, and get plastered when you graduated. It was for me, anyway.” and he took a long drink and then laughed.

Janna chuckled. “I didn’t really get a chance. I… missed my graduation Daggum, because my cadet cruise right before graduation was when I ended up with the haemophilia and I then switched career tracks into psychology and pursued my Master’s right away. Especially early on, alcohol was ill advised.” She shrugged. “Sometimes I think I missed out, but I wasn’t in a place to enjoy graduation even if I had attended.”

“But tell me about yours. What was it like?”
