Stone stepped into the lift. =^=Sickbay. Priority, no stops.=^= The lift system gave a quiet set of beeps in acknowledgement and dropped, whisking the XO across the ship. Normally, she wouldn’t request priority, but things were moving apace. And she doubted that she was carrying anything dangerous, being only a few hours out from starbase, and having been through the bio-filters at least twice in as many hours for two different transporters. But it was protocol to get checked out anyway. Mostly that was reserved for away missions, but it was better safe than sorry.

Less than a minute later the lift halted and opened up, dropping her in spitting distance of sickbay. A few long rangy strides took her to the doors and through them. Casting about for Doctor Grey or Doctor Astor, or any of the medical staff really.

Noah looked up from what he was doing as the doors to sickbay opened up again. Things had really picked up with all the new faces. But it definitely made the day pass more quickly. He straightened his uniform and lab coat and approached the new arrival with a polite smile.

“Hello, I’m Dr. Astor, what can I do for you today?”

“Hey there. I’m Lieutenant Commander Stone. Transferring from U.S.S. Valkyrie by way of Starbase 157 and the U.S.S. Velocity. I need to be checked out and cleared for duty. I imagine there’s still a lot of catch up after crew rotations, so I can take a number if you need.”

Noah straightened up somewhat when he realized just who this new arrival was. A twinge of anxiety crept up on the edges of his mind, but he pushed those feelings down to focus on the fact that he was a completely capable doctor and this was really just a routine exam.

“Of course, ma’am, its nice to meet you. I appreciate your understanding, we have been a little busy down here. I would be happy to help you out with the boarding physical unless you would prefer to wait for the CMO.”
