Tilting her head up and to the side, she didn’t impede him in anyway, savouring each time his lips touched her skin. Her hands found skin again and moved over his back, along his sides. It was hard to explain the sheer electricity between them. It had existed that day in the Recreation Hall when they had bantered over the pool table and while she wouldn’t have asked to be abducted into the Nexus, Janna was all too aware that had it not been for that tipping point of an experience, this moment right now might not be happening. And that would have been a bloody shame.
Hands travelled down her sides as they kissed against the tree, hidden from view. The long weeping branches allowed dappled light into their nook, but Janna was far too focused on Grady to notice the dance of light about them. Her hands slipped up to the sides of his face, fingertips tracing his brown skin. “I’ve thought about it,” she whispered, pausing their fervent kissing. “I’m ready.”
He pulled back, gazing deeply into her beautiful green eyes. “For?” She grinned at him, her eyes intense. “Oh, ohhhh…”
“Think of it as a beautiful farewell. Something lovely to take with you. Yeah?”
“Only if it’s really what you want.,” he said, fingertips tracing her cheekbone.”
“It is.”
“Tonight then?”
Janna nodded and kissed him deeply.It was a date they would keep, the memory a pleasant one, the first of few over the years, always carefully considered.
Drawing her leg up against his side, Janna wrapped her arms around Orvos, her lips finding his again. There was heat, passion for sure, but she was in no rush. She intended to savour every second with him.
Orvos pressed himself even closer, one arm brought to meet her leg on his side, feeling the strength of her thighs and yet the very feminine skin there. His lips pressed to hers as he allowed what fires had been kept at bay to burn bright between them.
And there it was. The bright flash of light, the jolt of electricity that connected the lake to the sky, spread through the clouds as the water grew a luminescent greenish blue. It was like Earth’s Aurora Borealis, but in the water at their feet. It was not a common occurrence at this particular lake.
The woman drew closer to Orvos and laughed. “You’re a scoundrel, how could you possibly have known?!” She asked in a pleasant surprise.
Orvos smirked and pointed to his noggin. “Pretty smart! So, how about it then?” He plopped his behind down in the sand near the water.
She sat with, an incredulous look on her face. “I know for a fact, those are not predictable.”
He watched the glowing water shift and morph colors. “Beautiful though…like you.”
Without a word, Orvos found himself being straddled by her as her lips met his with intensity. She pulled back and laughed. “Did you see that one coming?” She smirked.
Before he could answer, her grin was pressed once more to his lips as she pushed him to his back.
Orvos lost himself with her. The intimate melding of body and mind were like the colors on the lake, changing and shifting for each intense spark. He made no attempt to control it, no attempt at predicting. He just let go. He felt freer than he had in centuries. All he cared about was her, in the here and now.
Drowsiness slipped from her head and Janna rolled over onto her side, her arm slipping over Orvos, her eyes opening to gaze upon him. “Mmm, morning,” she said, smiling.

Orvos was slowly waking. “Mmm, is it?” he asked, his eyes still closed.

She rested her head in the crick of his arm and ran her hand up and down his arm. “It is. And I had the weirdest dream. You were there, and a woman with bond curls.” Janna grinned. “I think you might have a type,” she said with a light laugh. “But then this lake lit up in a riot of colours. It was beautiful. And then, well…” She flushed. “Anyway, I’m not sure why I dreamed it, but it was interesting. And of course, you were in it.”

Orvos listened with his eyes shut as he woke. The dream she shared sounded…too familiar. Actually, oddly enough…He opened a quizzical eye and looked her over once before speaking. “A lake lighting up in a riot of colors? I know of that place. In fact I can technically show you it. But what’s stranger is that I too had a dream of you with some other young lad.” He opened his other eye, having already come to his own thoughtful conclusion. “You seemed happy to say the least, though as a mere spectator I can’t say I enjoyed it.” He gave a sheepish grin. “I can’t lie to you after all. Much prefer what we are doing, though I understand the feeling.”
He sighed as tried to recall more detail. “Some young man named Grady come to mind?” he inquired as let his hand behind her trace gentle lines all across the contours of her back.

Janna sat up, bracing herself on one hand, the sheet falling off her bare upper body. Mouth in an O, she gazed at him intently. “No. No way. That can’t be a coincidence. I dreamed about somewhere you’ve been and you dreamed about my first boyfriend?” She shook her head, her blond curls swinging. “What if they weren’t dreams?”

Orvos shook his head. “I’m still trying to figure out if this is a dream,” he sighed aloud. He then looked her in the eye and ran a hand down her delightful frame from the shoulder down her curved sides. “It definitely feels real,” he said with a chuckle.
“Ok, there’s a few ways to find out. There is a holodeck program of my own creation aboard the Athena. The lake you speak of is there. It’s where I grew up when I was young. That woman you met…was my wife.”
He looked her over once, soaking in every visual detail of her he could remember before his eyes finally met hers again. “We can go there and I can show you. See if it matches. Or we could…play around a bit…with whatever is going on between us. As far as the Nexus bits of course. But that might require us to do more touching though.” he said with an a mocking innocent look in his eye.
