Orvos then turned his curious eyebrow back to Katrina.

“Hmmm. Querying. … I can not find any information on his current whereabouts. Most information pertaining to him within my memory core has been deleted.” The tone in her voice indicated that she was not fully aware of that until now.

“Interesting,” Faye said, her mouth turning downwards. Well, it was probably just as well, since Daniel was long in her past and at least he was a good part of it. Mostly. “Tat does prompt a whole lot more questions, though.”

Orvos then looked between the pair. “I suspect you two will be great friends?” he inquired lightly.

Faye couldn’t help but smile. “We kind of already were, at least as much as I could have friends back then. Enough so that I was allowed to add security features to her program,” she said to Orvos before returning her attention to Katrina. “But what is the intention of you being here? You were an independent program. I take it you still are, but how will this work here on the Athena?”

Orvos spoke up this time. “Starfleet wants to know her capabilities. They want to understand how she works, how she came to be, and how they can replicate her technology apparently. Discovered her in the Athena computer systems not long before my promotion, so I didn’t really get much of a chance to interact with her before intelligence had a say in the matter.”

The fact that Katrina was already in the ship’s system piqued Faye’s curiosity. “I bet they did,” she murmured. A mysterious program in a computer would be taken over so fast, a detail that Faye herself could well understand.

Katrina then spoke up. “It would seem that I am at your every whim,” she said with a grin as she stared at Faye.

Faye snorted. “Careful now, don’t let my husband hear you talk that way. He knows how caught up I can get with my work and knowing me and the plentitude of work tossed my way suddenly, we’re going to to be spending a lot of time together.” She had naturally assumed that the first few weeks would be rather intense and then things would ease off. But maybe she was just kiddng herself. Regardless, her own issue required she practice her self-care of become a mess, and was not going to mess this up!

“How do I find you? Through the interface only or are you integrated in some way?” Faye wanted to get on with the rest of her debriefing and it was clear her and Katrina had plenty of time to catch up and for Faye to work through the changes in the program.

Katrina turned to Orvos with a sheepish grin. “It’s alright. Go ahead.”

Orvos reached down and pulled the glowing chip back out and handed it to Calloway. “I managed to isolate her program. She’s entirely on the chip and this platform is one of 3 devices I created to keep her safe. There’s another in engineering and another available for mobility sake. Be careful though.” He brought his voice low, despite the room having been secured. “I don’t know how or why, but I sense something about this…program…It feels like it’s from another time or place. But the feeling isn’t as strong as I’ve felt time displacement before. A part of me wonders if it’s been here so long that the…uh…temporal residue? maybe?…has at least partially disappeared from it.”

He paused, getting a good look at her. “Do you understand what I’m saying?” he asked with a bit of a grin of curiosity spreading on his face.
