Orvos approached her, already able to sense her feelings with his own brand of El Aurian empathy. He brought his fingertip up, puzzled at the idea that a lone finger might do anything after the embrace they experienced earlier. “Just one fingertip, doc?” he said with some mild amusement as his eyes remained entirely on Janna’s. He held it out to her, glad to have the assistance of an audience. If it weren’t for chaperones, he likely would be doing much more with his finger than simply touching one of her own. He tried to catch those thoughts before they became manifest, burying them and hoping they wouldn’t be overtly embarrassing for them.

She tried her best to keep a neutral expression, but her amusement shone through her grass green eyes. “This feels like a scene from an ancient Terran movie. I’m pretty sure my finger won’t light up though, but this is all new so maybe I shouldn’t try to make predictions here.”
Janna reached up and allowed their fingers to touch. Of course, nothing really happened. No glowing, no sparks, nothing like that. But she could feel it, like a hum or buzzing in the back of her mind, and a tingling where their skin just barely touched. The readings showed a tiny increase in heart rate from Janna (though the cause was a loose correlation at best given the other variables). But there were tiny parts of her brain that did light up upon contact and they mirrored the readings for Orvos as well.

Benjamin nodded slowly as he read the readings “Now if capable please describe how It feels, as precise as you can be” Benjamin said looking up for a moment to make sure that it was still only a single finger.

Janna inhaled deeply, focusing on Orvos as she spoke. “There’s a tingle on my skin where our fingers are touching, a bit of warmth too. It’s hard to describe but there’s like a hum in the back of my mind. It feels tangible but hard to pinpoint exactly where. It just… is,” she said softly.

Benjamin nodded, making several notes on a PaDD he’d produced from somewhere “Alright now I’d like you to cease contact then resume contact this time palm on palm” He wanted to register if there were any changes between how much physical contact there was or if a brush was enough.

Orvos pulled his finger away with a slight eye roll. How many times were they going to increase touching each other? Orvos could still recall the touch of her lips pressed to his within her quarters some time ago. He wanted more certainly, and this was beginning to get to him. He made no other outward indication though.
He silently sighed, eyes on Janna, as he offered his whole palm to her. “Need a hand?” He asked in jest, hoping to make light just a bit of their predicament.
Janna wouldn’t see the memory now touching her mind, but she could at least hear it.
Orvos… came a vaguely familiar masculine voice. Orvos we have to leave....Distress signal…home.
Orvos could feel something in the back of his mind, like deja vu. But touching her wasn’t the instance of it. He couldn’t pinpoint it exactly, but now had a curious look on his face.
