“A lot happened during our mission, and as a result I needed to find a new Number One. And after some thought, I know exactly who I want to appoint in that position. He’s been on the ship longer than I have - honestly most of y’all fit that description, so it’s not saying much,” the Captain gave a wry chuckle. “Lt. Cmdr Orvos Legen has been a firm supporting influence throughout the life of this ship, as I have found from the many Mission Summaries I’ve read, as well as conversations with other crew members. And because of that, I believe he is the right man for the job. And after talking it over with Command, they agree. Orvos, would you please come to the front so I can promote you?” Wallace requested.

And there it was. He had downed a good portion of the bottle already and was feeling, perhaps a bit looser than normal. He sighed to himself and briskly stood up. He strolled to the podium quickly but carefully. He wasn’t tipsy, but it was effecting his mind. He stood next to her. “Yes…captain!” he nodded to her.

From her hidden place in plain sight, Janna’s attention was fixed on Orvos just as everyone else’s attention likely was. But for her it was different. She could all but feel the uncertainty in him, and the compulsion to push it all down. It would not do. Definitely not. And it was something that she was uniquely qualified to handle, both professionally and personally. Not yet, but soon.

OOC: I’ll continue it past it in case there’s anyone who wants to interact with Orvos here haha.

IC: The new pip indicating his new rank of Commander and the official business of being put in the first officer position was finished. Orvos left the stage with a very slight sway. The captain had cleared everyone to socialize and enjoy themselves. Orvos however, was not sure how he felt. It was almost as though a new weight had been put on his shoulders. He sat back down at his table and picked the bottle up again looking it over. He was acting irresponsible, and he unfortunately did not care.
