“So, not only are we locked in the holodeck, it’s been messed up and has a different program mixed in… Lovely.” Wallace let out a small sigh, then followed after Orvos. She connected the dots with him saying something about a native tongue - this was either where he grew up, or some other place on his planet, or on a planet with his people living on it. She supposed it was ironic - he’d stepped into a piece of her childhood, now she was inadvertently doing the same. Didn’t make the situation better, just was interesting.

Orvos continued his walk to the entrance of the small village. But there was someone else there…someone new. As far as Orvos knew the man before him died years ago.

But now before him, stood Dawson, his first officer aboard the Aurora. Orvos didn’t move as he analyzed the situation. Things had not ended with Dawson on very good terms.

Meanwhile, Katrina intensely observed everything Orvos did, her gaze unwavering.

Jennifer stopped a few moments after Orvos did, glancing at the man, then over to the stranger. Now, there was no way this person was a member of her crew. Then again, the whole program had gone weirdly and there was no telling what would happen next. She sighed quietly. “Okay. Who are you?”

The tall muscular man smiled as he offered a hand. “The name is Dawson, madam. And you are?” It might come across as though he were being lightly flirty with her.

Orvos spoke aloud. “Computer abort program.” The computer did not respond. It seemed as though Orvos desperately wanted the program to end. He didn’t want to share the true meaning of this part of the program with many people, especially those he barely knew.

Meanwhile, Katrina still stood by silently observing the situation.

Jennifer looked at the man with a flat, unimpressed glare, shutting away her casual tone. “Captain Jennifer Wallace. I am the Captain of the Athena,” she spoke, folding her hands behind her back in a very no-nonsense manner. She glanced at Orvos. “Lt. Commander Legen, do you know this man?”

Dawson gave her a broad grin and a bow of his head. “Captain, it’s quite an honor to meet you.” He then turned to Orvos. “Lt. Commander? That’s awfully far beneath you, don’t you think?”

Orvos stepped forward and spoke up. “Look, this is not the time nor the place to have a little reunion and you know it. We can do that another time. We’re having issues with our holodeck. Are you responsible?”

Dawson gave a low chuckle. “This was simply supposed to be a meet and greet. To let you know I’m still alive. I was not expecting you to have visitors as well. Katrina, I’m sure, can help you out. She’s an AI.”

Orvos’s eyes went bug-eyed as he spun on Katrina.

Jennifer’s stone-cold expression didn’t fall as she turned slightly so that both(?) of the intruders were in her field of view. “Well, it seems you lied,” she looked at the woman, raising an eyebrow. Internally she was freaking out, but she was good at hiding her internal conflicts when she had to. What the frick was going on? An AI, people from Orvos’s past shoving their way into her relaxing holodeck program? She’d meant to come in here and de-stress from a frustrating afternoon but instead here she was stuck in a dramatic mystery.
