An arrival, a rest in his quarters while his possessions arrived and a short shower later saw the Athena’s new Chief Engineer ready to visit the ships Executive Officer as his direct ranking Officer, and receive his duty roster for the foreseeable future. However unlike most first year Cadets, he wasn’t about to go and stand outside an office door and hope that this Commander Legen was inside.

=/\= Commander Legen, this is Lieutenant Commander Akirel Ros, the Athena’s new Chief Engineer =/\= He said after tapping the comm badge on his shirt, activated and linked into the Athena’s system once he had been received on-board by the Shuttle Bay crew. =/\= I am looking to check in with you, Commander. Are you available?=/\=

=/\=Barely, but yes. Stop on by your new office. I actually spruced things up a bit. If you have time now, that is?=/\= Orvos had taken some of his own personal belongings out and was taken one last stroll through engineering as the Athena’s CE. He stood in the office, watching engineers mill about taking care of things.

=/\=I’ll be there in a moment, commander =/\= Ros replied and tapped his badge to cut the call.

When the comm was out, he said low to himself, “Times change, and I guess so must I.”

It took a few minutes, but shortly thereafter Ros walked through the doors to Main Engineering and took a turn to the Office. “Commander?” Ros said aloud as he stepped through the open door of the Chief Engineers office.

Orvos turned around with a grin. “Commander Akirel, I presume?” he said gesturing to the CE chair as Orvos took the guest chair. After all, it was going to be Ros’s new seat. Best to get used to it now.

“As requested,” he replied, then laughed. Moving to the CE’s seat, he looked over at the replicator. “Can I get you anything, Commander? Congratulations on your assignment as the ships Executive Officer, by the way.’”
