Faye mirrored his smirk, but it was much more of a goofy-grin than a smirk.For a moment she just stared at him in awe before shaking it off. =/\=”I assume so, though I haven’t heard one way or another yet. I hope he’ll come though. But it’s funny you say it that way because I was just thinking earlier today that I need to find a way to refer to him that’s comfortable. Dad is Edward Calloway, and I just wasn’t sure I could share it with Micah. But today I had settled on Pops as a name. If you weren’t in another quadrant I’d accuse you of being a mind-reader.=/\=

Daggum smirked again. =/\= I’m a lot of things, honey… but that isn’t one of them. And may the universe be kind to anyone trying to read that mind of yours. I’d bet hard currency that their brain would short circuit inside of ten seconds. =/\= and he smiled at her. He knew how convoluted her brain was… but unlike anyone else, he found that chaos absolutely beautiful.

She leaned in. =/\=Shhh, it’s a surprise, but… I’m going to ask him to dance a father-daughter dance.=/\= She had a sneaking suspicion that it would be a good way for her to show him that he did indeed have a place in her life. Was it all still weird? Yep? But it was slowly becoming less so.

Daggum snorted and then looked at her. =/\= Really? That’s.... definitely a step. I wonder if that acerbic hillbilly even knows how to dance? =/\= and he laughed at the thought… but it was also obvious he was totally on board with the idea.

Faye waggled her brows. =/\=Well, I somehow doubt he’s got steps like me, but I’ve learned never to underestimate a spook, regardless of who they work for. And since I actually count amongst that group of people, I should know.=/\=

Folding her arms on the desk, she leaned in and reached out a fingertip to touch the screen where his face was. =/\=I miss you,=/\= she whispered with a slight shake of her head. =/\=We’re getting married!=/\= Was he still as awed as she was? It had been a long road for them to be in the same place together and she couldn’t wait till that space was physical as well. =/\=For what it’s worth, even though I knew we should have a proper celebration, I’d marry you today with witnesses and an Admiral. I want the wedding, but in my mind we’re already together. We’ve earned that many times over, my man made me for me from the stars.”=/\=It took every shred of willpower for Faye not to burst into tears, though her eyes were shining.

=/\= Well I’m glad you are still on board with idea! Of course we are getting married! I’m not doing all this just to celebrate Drovit’s Day. =/\= and he laughed. He reached out and touched her face as well and smiled. =/\= And of course we are already together, Faye. This wedding isn’t for us… it’s for everyone else. So they know we’re serious. =/\= and he winked. =/\= And it’s an excuse to get you a family reunion. I can’t think of anything else that might have pulled that one off. =/\= and he laughed loudly.
