Turning to face him, Ghubari brought one leg up, bent it at the knee and rested it on its side on the piano bench. “Never too tired for you, ndugu. What’s on your mind?” It wasn’t like they didn’t have deep conversations most times they talked, but something about him wanting permission to ask her a question had piqued her curiosity.

Finally he blurted it out. “I need to ask permission to take some personal leave and travel across to the Mirror Dimension to retrieve something”. He stood there with a fixed rictus grin on his face as he plunged his chosen sister and Captain into yet another morass of mind bogglingly complicated mess that would be extremely difficult to include in the monthly reports. He shrugged a little “You told me I’m not allowed to lie any more or hide the truth” he said by way of disclaimer.
