Her keen green eyes studied him. “It was… busy, for everyone,” Janna said quietly. She gestured to the couch. “Come on in and make yourself comfortable.” Their conversation might not be comfortable but they might as well be.

“As for how I’ve been, well… it’s been…” Janna shook her head and turned her gaze out the window. “I don’t know. I guess I’m a bit tired overall. Worn out, perhaps.”

“Missions and lots of people on the ship who need help. Understandable really to be tired. I suspect you were hoping to relax then?” Orvos pondered as his eyes finally settled on the woman before him. They had gone through quite a bit together. The end had not been ideal though. Immediately after her supposed trip to the Nexus, they were all thrown into another mission with little time to even think about what had actually occurred.

“I… don’t know what I was expecting. The promotion was unexpected, and I haven’t had a lot of time to process much of anything,” Janna admitted. “And maybe there is a part of me that doesn’t want to process, because I’m not sure I’d like what I discover.”

Orvos gave a knowing soft laugh. “Ah, yes, congratulations on that by the way! You’ve certainly earned it. To be fair thouigh, we’re starfleet, aren’t we? May not always like what we find, but we still have to admit it’s there. ” Normally he would be silly, offering to distract with whatever she fancied. But this was different. He knew that she would need to process soon. He only hoped that he wasn’t coming across too strong.

Janna was quiet for a moment before she gathered her thoughts and gazed deeply at Orvos. “I get that nothing of what happened with Kivon was your fault, but I still can’t keep feeling angry at you, or at least, the you that was in it with myself and Stark. Time travel honestly gives me a bit of a headache so I’ve bene trying to not think about the mechanics of it all, but… something really significant happened to me during it all and it’s weird to be here with you now and know you yourself didn’t experience that. I don’t know what to think.”
