Ben couldn’t help but laugh slightly at their statement, a thousand people were launching towards the surface of an unknown planet. Dozens injured and they would no longer have the sanitary situation of the Sickbay. He was focusing so much on the controls that he didn’t say anything. “Alright, I’m going to link up with the other pods and engage Autopilot” He informed the group.

She had nothing really to say to that but a thought did cross Janna’s mind: Better you than me!

The announcement they were going on Autopilot didn’t make Cara feel any better. After all what did a computer care about the the lives of the people in this pod? she kept silent though the last thing they needed was her fears being broadcasted to the rest of the group. Cara wondered how many pods were out there and if the other people were just as scared as they were.
“My mother used to have us sing songs while we were hiking or doing chores to make the time go by faster,” Cara said with a smile, trying to sound as calm as she could. Though she wasn’t sure anyone in the pod would know the same songs she did. Old hymns were out of style these days. She began to sing “Down by the river,” softly in a well trained and melodic second saprano tone and she noticed a few people relaxed, including herself.

Kingston didn’t know the song but she smiled. “You have a lovely singing voice,” she remarked, aware that the singing was rather strange considering they were fleeing their ship, their home. But it was a welcome distraction.

Cara blushed and smiled softly, “Thank you, it’s just something I do as a hobby, or to keep myself calm,” he said glad it wasn’t bothering anyone. “growing up in the middle f nowhere you pick up all kinds of strange habits,” Cara joked, a bit of a twinkle entering her deep green eyes.
