Viyara allowed herself to take her time and really think about that as they continued to make their way further down the staircase. Her gaze was fixed on the ocean, but she wasn’t really seeing it. Instead she was thinking, analysing, weighing options.

Stopping rather suddenly in her tracks, Viyara turned around and looked at Janna. There was fear in her features, but also determination. “All my life I’ve down everything in my power to keep what happened to me as far away from me as possible. Hidden in the deepest and darkest abyss in my mind. I’m not sure if I’ll ever be truly and fully ready, but …“ She shook her head, “I think I’m as ready as I’ll ever be and not knowing when we’ll talk about only makes me more afraid of talk about it.“ She sighed softly and shook her head, her arms still around her middle.

“That’s completely natural,” Kingston said softly. “And it’s different to hear the words and feel them intuitively, but remember that we’re on the holodeck here and now Viyara. Those emotions are real and they won’t be minimized , but they can’t hurt you and the people whose actions created them in you can’t hurt you here either. You are safe here with me, and I know you believe that. So trust that, and let’s go walk amongst the Giants,” she said softly.
