Jayden returned to his station, “I’ll see if I can get more power to the impulse engines. I can divert phaser and the holodeck systems to the secondary plasma manifolds of the impulse drive.” He said calmly, suddenly feeling focused. He knew what he he had to do. What his father would have wanted him to do. ” I can also open the fuel flow from the secondary tanks to the main deuterium tanks. It will get bumpy, and will overload the engines after certain amount of time, but at this point.” He said, his voice now robotic. “If you want, I can also set a power surge in the impulse reactors too. Should give us a good boost to a big bang.” Jayden suggested, but he started the modifications anything, not waiting for permission. -Jay OOC: It wasn’t me… it was Stark. CIO. :
“Do it,” Koraia ordered. “But then we’re getting out of here.”

“Understood” Jayden replied, getting to work.

: “I’m not abandoning ship!” Laraan said. “First I’ll figure out where Stark went. You there!” she pushed her voice through to the NE at the science station. “Give me the scans of internal sensors of the bridge at the time when this portal opened and closed.” she commanded, something she rarely did. The portal had been very similar to the portal that Michail had created. She had to kick of all possibilities for a rescue at once, no time to waste.

: Standing in front of the spot, she closed her eyes, tried with all her might to calm her mind, her fears and her anger and to concentrate on feeling the residual energy of the place. She had gone through a portal to the parallel universe before, she knew how that felt. She knew how time shifts in the energy felt and she knew how Michail’s energy felt. Maybe she could feel what had happened. And then there was the bond she now shared with Stark.

Laraan picked up Stark’s energy, it wasn’t hard because even in his semiconscious state he was mad enough to rip the hide off a Gorn. It was receding fast, sensors showed that he was in an escape pod, and he wan’t the one piloting it. It was taking a circuitous route to the planet below, suddenly it blinked out as if someone had made it invisible somehow. The energy was still there and he had picked up the fact that they were connected. Now she could feel fear, fear that she was still on the ship.

Ghubari moved swiftly over to Laraan and put her hands on her friend’s shoulder, her pale amber eyes gazing at the Heleen, whose eyes were closed. “Laraan, he’s okay. There’s nothing we can do about it at the moment, but I’m certain he will survive. But we won’t if we don’t get out of here now.”

“I’ve given you an order and I need you to trust me and follow it. We’re heading for the planet, but we have to get into escape pods now, because the Athena is about to ram that other ship and I know Stark would be devastated if you were still aboard when it happened.”

“All done Captain, We should feel it any second now.” Jayden reported, standing up from the aft station. “If you are staying with the Ship captain. I want to stay too, I wouldn’t mind seeing my father again.” He requested, acceptance falling on him.

“Not today, Ensign,” Ghubari said, more gently than she might have normally under the circumstances. “It’s time for us to go.,” she said, ushering him out.

Turning back, Koraia gazed deeply at the viewscreen for another moment before also leaving.
