Humming a nondescript tune, Tello made her way from the Counselor’s office to deck 12, Sickbay 1. Once she had medical out of the way, she would be done with check ins and would be free to take her place on the bridge, or anywhere else.

Dark eyes opened wide when she entered. It was huge! There were rows of bio beds and several staff on duty. She caught the gaze of a passing nurse. “Excuse me, I’m Cmdr Tello Anaar, the new XO for the Athena. I need a medical evaluation in order to be cleared for duty. Can someone help me?”

A tall thin man approached the half Betazoid. He wore a long white Doctors coat over a Starfleet Medical Uniform and two filled pips on his collar. His eyes gave her a deep stare, Intense Green eyes that seemed to look right through the new arrival. He was silent for half a second before smiling a polite smile and slightly inclining his head “Ah yes, welcome aboard Commander” He took a few steps forward, he was a head taller than Anaar “I’m Doctor Grey, Chief Medical officer. Welcome aboard, please have a seat” He indicated to a nearby biobed.

Dr. Grey - CMO

“It’s good to meet you, Dr Grey.” Tello walked to the bed indicated and hopped up onto it, crossing her ankles as her feet didn’t touch the floor. “I apologize for just barging in, but I told Captain Wallace I’d tend to my evaluations this morning.”

There was a feeling of slight sadness emanating from Benjamin as she said ‘Captain Wallace’ quickly replaced with confidence, in himself or the new Captain was unclear. “No worries, Sickbay’s always open” He said as he took a medical tricorder from his coat and removed the wand, starting the general medical scan “I understand you are a doctor yourself” He said conversationally.

Dr. Grey - CMO

She nodded. “Yes, I’ve always been fascinated with biology. Even though I’ve switched to command now, I try to stay up on the medical journals. Would you mind me dropping in occasionally just to observe for a little while? Reading isn’t the same as seeing and seeing isn’t the same as doing. You know the old saying ‘watch one, do one, teach one’? Of course, if you’re uncomfortable with that, I’ll understand.”

As far as she knew, she was in excellent health, so she didn’t expect Dr Grey to find anything in the scan.

OOC: her only problem is her telepahy which could be slightly unusual neuron patterns in her brain?
