“Friends definitely. And I don’t know if you noticed this or not, but I’m not exactly small. Me trying to make myself scarce is like trying to hide a cruiser in a hovercar parking spot.” and he laughed. He then took a drink of coffee and said “But don’t you worry about me not calling on you… I plan to. I just don’t want you to feel like I am monopolizing your time or anything… okay?”

Daggum

“No, you aren’t,” Viyara grinned and placed one hand on top of his. “I’m glad,” she continued and took a bite of her toast. Realising that could be understood in two ways, she added, “That you plan on calling on me as well, I mean.” Tilting her head, she continued, “What are your plans for the rest of the day?”

Daggum choked slightly on his coffee and then grinned. “Uh… thanks?” and he smiled warmly and bumped her shoulder with his own. “For the rest of the day, I dunno. I’ll probably head back to the ship and make sure my staff hasn’t resorted to Black Market operations in my absence. What about you? Anything on your agenda?” and he stole a piece of her bacon and popped it in his mouth.

Daggum

“Hey!” Viyara replied in mock indignation as Daggum nicked a piece of her bacon. “I have to be on duty in a few hours and since my boss is already not very happy with me, I should try to avoid getting even more on his bad side. I haven’t made any plans otherwise. But I’m sure I’ll be able to think of something,” she replied with a wink and then helped herself to a forkful of the scrambled eggs on her plate.

Daggum nodded thoughtfully as he ate some toast. He swallowed and said “So why don’t you go get ready for duty? I can finish up here and then I’ll head back too. Might make it easier to scoot out if they think you are just going shopping or something.” and he looked at her expectantly.

Daggum

Viyara nodded a little reluctantly. She would have liked to stay, but she knew that this was the smartest way forward. After finishing her breakfast in silence, she rose to her feet and placed one hand on Daggum’s shoulder. Slipping partly into his lap, she kissed him deeply for several moments. When she pulled away, she said, Thank you for everything Daggum. I can’t wait to see you again.“ Just like that she rose to her feet again and began to slowly move away as she began to head towards the door.
