There was sufficient accord between them that it suited Ghubari just fine to leave it at that. Perhaps she had gotten too cozy on this ship, or too used to the easy rapport she had had with all the other counsellors, but Iven was definitely going to shake things up whether she liked it or not.

At his remark though, she exhaled audibly. “I don’t know her very well yet but it did seem out of the blue and that was definitely her holding back, so I’m concerned as well. I had thought I might check in on her after but if you would prefer to, that would be appropriate as well.”

Séan shook his head. “While I do intend to follow up with her at some point, I’m thinking that my being the first contact after this…” He indicated the area around them. “May not prove fruitful. Instead I intend to look into her recent medical and counseling records, talk with the last person to evaluate her, and figure out a plan of action. This may turn out to be nothing but the warning signs compel me to take this seriously. If you do end up checking in on her and you notice anything concerning, please update me on what you find out.”

Koraia gave a nod. “I will.” Another audible breath. “Well then, I best be going. Good day Counsellor,” she said in a tone that was exceedingly polite.

She moved away, eagerly seeking another space in which to quietly work through what all had just happened.
