Stark was desperately biting down a string of comments he wanted to make about Orions and “chemistry” but he figured that they would have all been said and done before. He was content to sit and watch the interchange for the moment. The truth was such moments of normality were so few and far between that sometimes it was a novelty to just sit and listen without their being dire consequences on the line.

With a wink and a mischievous smile, Viyara replied almost instantly, “I could teach you some chemistry, if you like.” And as if she hadn’t just made a very obvious offer, she continued, “Forensic science is something that has always interested me. I like how so many areas overlap there and everything you can find out through testing small amounts of earth, water or something like a piece of fabric.” Her mismatched eyes sparkled with excitement at the mere thought of it. “Though as I mentioned, there seems to be little use for that sort of investigations in Starfleet. No bodies hidden in the Arboretum.” There was suddenly a slight shift in her expression. As if had an idea or played through something in her mind.
OOC: I finally updated her profile and linked photos to all (I think) her tattoos, in case you’re wondering what the ones look like that are currently not covered by clothing :)

Hammor smiled slightly at the potential innuendo, but listened as she spoke. “Oh, I don’t know about the lack of need for it. Most of the ships I’ve been on would have would have made good use for a forensic specialist. Even outside of security, I can think of a number of things a forensic scientist would cone in handy with. I mean, I would assume your training in comparative DNA analysis alone would make up for the lack of crime scenes you may be called to.” and he smiled broadly and said “But again… barely got past Organic Chem.”

“I suppose,” Viyara mused. “Maybe the ships I’ve been stationed on so far just have been incredibly dull or neither of my superiors saw the need for a forensic scientist.” She gave a small shrug and continued to ponder what Daggum had said.
Stark smiled, “Personally, I like to use chemistry to blow things up. Fun times”.

“Indeed,” Viyara exclaimed with a sparkle in her eyes. It had gotten her into trouble before, but sometimes an experiment just had to go wrong for you to figure something out. And with one exception she had never caused any serious damage to the inventory and only herself ever got hurt. So she didn’t really see the issue.
Hammor chuckled. “Well, now I know to double check any requisitions I get from you, don’t I?” and he smiled in good natured jesting.

Chuckling Stark raised an eyebrow, “Ask me no questions and I’ll promise you won’t get into trouble. The Captain’s well aware of my destructive tendencies”.
Laughing lightly, Viyara rose to her feet. With her hands on the tabletop and leaning slightly forward, she said with a wink, “Be nice to each other. I’ll be right back. Would either of you gentleman like something to drink as well?”

“Strawberry daiquiri would be fantastic.” Hammor said; as if the idea of a giant, well-muscled, green man drinking a bright, frothy pink drink with an umbrella in it was typical.

“I’d love warm milk with a dash of cinnamon if you would Viyara”. Stark settled back in his chair a bit, “Can’t remember the last time I just relaxed like this, it’s a bit unnerving”.

“Milk and a daiquiri it is,” Viyara grinned and then disappeared towards the bar.
Hammor chuckled. “Well, I could always start a brawl… if that would make you more comfortable. Although I’m pretty sure that isn’t quite the first impression I want to leave with the Captain.”
Hammor, Ops
Putting on a slight falsetto Stark replied, “Oh, pleassse do, it would be great to have somebody else be the troublemaker for a change”.

Hammor laughed and said “Give me time to unpack, first, okay? Something about not even unpacking before I was carted off the ship would make me feel like a complete waste.”

It didn’t take long, till Viyara appeared next to their table again carrying a try with two drinks. She placed the strawberry daiquiri in front of Hammor and then the warm mild with cinnamon in front of Stark before placing a tall glass with a brightly coloured drink in it in front of her own place. It was a bright azure blue at the bottom then slowly turned green further up till it was yellow at the very top.
Slipping back onto her own chair, Viyara grinned mischievously and then lifted her glass. “Cheers,” she said with a wink and then took a sip of her drink through the straw.
