Daniels hopped to it and started preparing some of the most unusual hypo’s in Starfleet history. A shot into the bloodstream for surface wounds stopped the spread of the poison almost instantaneously but those who had the poison deeper in their systems were going to need a faster way to get the alcohol through the blood stream.

The slice ended the creatures life and as it died Meryidiyth cried out “Ware the blood, it’s what they make the poison with”.
Ben jumped off the creature, falling on his behind. Crawling away backwards as he avoided the blood.

They were clear of the blast radius that would hit the Guardian but unfortunately more of the creatures we’re coming from all vectors and already people were becoming the worse for wear because even if they defeated them, any puncture or bleeding was spreading necrotic poison to anything living it touched.

Benjamin stood up and looked around at the incoming creatures. He wasn’t holding the scalpel anymore, he’d left it in the side of the creature. He moved towards Meryidiyth “Oi, absorby lady” He called out “I’m gonna need yer help with this poison stuff, I need a neutralising agent. Alcohol seems to slow it down but what else” In the back of his head he felt an unusual tingling. He’d never killed anything before in his life, even non-sapients.+

As the Doc took off like a super hero from some centuries old story, Karina used the now open medical kit. From blood clotters to the lazer scalpel, Karina worked on the patient before her trying to drain the blood from his lungs and seal them so they wouldn’t fill up again. If it worked, she would work on closing his surface wounds as well.

DoctorOne of the beings was crashing in Karina’s direction and as it leapt through the air it was suddenly batted away by one of it’s own still being swung around in Meryidiyth’s grip. The patient was completely oblivious and was beginning to respond to treatment. Surgery would be needed in the not to distant future but the current conditions weren’t optimal.
Meryidiyth cried out to all. “Alcohol aerosol spray, neutralise at the source”. She continued to whirl the now insensate creature in her arms like a battering ram. The ensign who had just recently been knocked down got to his feet, staying well away from the whirling woman and started to make himself very useful.

On the other side of the triage area, Janna was finally stable enough to be moving about, but she knew better than to do much of anything that could put her in the way. though it seemed now that she didn’t have much of a choice.Keeping low, she stayed with the patients around her whom she had been talking to to keep calm. She might not have been doing much before, but at least she could do her job even if it meant doing it on the run, so to speak.

Benjamin shook his head as he ran towards Doctor Niles “You finish patching him up, I’m going to spray booze over everyone else.” He said as he started patching together an aerosol spray with alchohol from a hypospray and whatever else he could find.

Karina felt the ground shake and kept hunched over her patient. He wasn’t ready to be moved so if they were in the path, they would be trampled together. As the cry for the alcohol spray went up and the Doc came to a crashing halt at her side, she smiled. “I’ll get him moved soon as I can. Here…” she reached into the pack she had at her side and handed him the other hypospray. “Use this one, too.” She smiled at him and made a mental note to talk to him when things settled down once more. They had met briefly at his arrival. But her own had been nearly the same time and they truly hadn’t sat down together for more than a moment.
Something told her she could learn a lot from him and he could use her help with a lot of things, if they gave one another the chance, that is.

DocFortunately the beings were seeking passage rather than destruction and so most of them leaped over the prone patients. Unfortunately many of them were bleeding when they leapt over and a hail of blood drops was falling on everyone and everything eating into all they touched.
Meryidiyth was tiring and finally planted herself directly in the path of the incoming beings trying desperately to divert the enemy to a different path. Her former enemy stood by her side doing his best to assist.

Karina kept herself bent over the body as another creature leapt over her. She watched a drop of blood hit the ground beside her and a small poof of smoke. Whatever was in the blood wasn’t liking whatever it hit. Just then a drop landed on her arm. With odd fascination, she watched it press the material of her tunic down against her skin from the height and gravity of its decent. Had it been ice water, she would have felt cold… had it been normal blood, she would have felt a second of heat before outdoor temps took over…
But a hiss fell from between her lips as she felt a heat unlike anything she expected, much less ‘should have’ felt. “HEY!” She half growled under her breath as she grabbed the material in a quick handful and rocked back on her heels trying to ball the fabric up to stop the blood from touching her flesh. “Well, that’s a nice defense mechanism,” she thought as she clawed at the material till it stopped trying to force its way thru her skin.

Huddling with some of the patients and trying to keep herself and them sheltered, Janna could see the chaos off in the near distance that was the battle for all their lives. “Doctor Grey!!” she shouted as loud as she could and pointed to the area where the security and tactical team had seeming had a break in fortune. But it looked like people were very badly hurt.
Moving to reach someone else, Kingston felt something brush her hand and an intense burning sensation started to work its way through her skin and tissues. “Arrrghh!” she half-screamed. If the toxic blood did what it did to being with normal blood, what would it do to hers? “I need some alcohol over here!” she called out, protecting the the patient she had moved to help.
