The fact that the starbase had become boring to explore quickly had been a bit of a surprise to one Cai Taylor. Sixteen years old and nothing to do the young man had wandered around looking for something else to do. The Athena had been docked for a while now. That seemed like a good idea to explore. He approached the docking area with his hands deep in his pocket and the hood of his oversized purple hoodie up over his electric blue coloured hair. For a while he was content to watch, chewing his lip ring thoughtfully from time to time as people came and went. A small group of people some in uniform some in civilian clothing headed back to the ship, no doubt from the promenade.

He peeled himself off from his watching space and followed. How he managed to get by security would be a question for the philosophers but for whatever reason he found himself in the corridors of the other ship fairly alone as the group melted away.

Pleased with himself the wayward teen set off to explore. He would look, not touch anything of course, and not go anywhere he shouldn’t…well not anywhere too important.

Dressed in a sleeveless black top with long black skirt, she cut a lean and possibly imposing figure between her height, intense pale-amber gaze and dark skin. While not in uniform, the woman was wearing a Starfleet combadge. Despite her flat leather soled sandals, she moved silently along the corridor, well-practiced movements adding a whole graceful stalking vibe. The half-Napean had been immediately drawn by the discordant emotions not far ahead of her. Excitement and curiosity, but also a sense of mischief that was unlikely to be one of her crew. Intrigued, she moved to catch up to what appeared to be a young man and fell in step beside him. “If you’re looking for fun, you’re on the wrong deck. Try the Recreation Hall or the Lounge on Deck Eighteen.”

~Mystery Woman?

The boy started as the mystery woman appeared. He brought a hand to the right hand side of his chest and clutched at it. ”Geez, footsteps much?” he asked her and then frowned. ”Im just…looking.” he added lamely. Now that he had encountered someone he could feel a small thrill of danger, it was a fine line to dance. ”Im fine thanks..” he added in the gruff sort of leave me alone way teens could muster.

“Hmmm, way more interesting things elsewhere,” Ghubari mused. “But that’s just me. What do you think would be interesting? it’s a really big ship after all.” She wasn’t entirely sure how to handle what appeared to be an unannounced guest on the ship. Though it was possible (give there were families aboard) that the young man belonged here, her entire read on him told her otherwise.
