One of the doors slid open and a petite woman with grass green eyes and a mass of chin length blond curls stepped out. She gaze a lopsided smirk. “Bugging the patients again, Stark?” she teased as she moved over to the reception desk and dropped off a PADD and retrived one waiting for her that contained what seemed to be her next patient’s file. “Unless you want to sit and have a chat?” Of course she knew he’d say no, but still it was fun to bug him.

Looking over at the other woman, Janna smiled warmly. “Viyara? You need an eval, yes?”

Stark smiled at Janna, “I have a PhD in bugging people” he quipped.

Turning to Viyara he bowed slightly, “I’ll meet you in the bar later once you’re done being psychoanalysed,”

“I can’t wait,” Viyara replied with a mischievous smile.

He turned back to Janna, “I think you’re going to like this one”.

“I always do,” Janna said with a grin.

With that he left quietly leaving not even a puff of air in his wake.

Turning towards Janna and focusing her attention on the petite woman in front of her, she smiled widely, “That’s what I’m here for.” Brushing a strand of hair out of her eyes, she walked a few steps closer towards Janna while her eyes wandered slowly up and down her body, taking in every inch of the other woman. From the short interaction, especially the banter between her and Stark, Viyara had a feeling that she might like her. Despite the fact that she was a counsellor and thus pretty high on her personal list of people to avoid. What a shame.

“I’m Janna Kingston. I’ll you’ll come with me…” With a gesture of her head and PADD in hand Janna stepped back through the door she had exited from.

“Nice to meet you,” Viyara replied genuinely as she followed her into the office.

In the modest space, the petite woman seemed to fit the cozy setting. She didn’t go to great lengths to decorate, but it was definitely more than the standard grey furniture and carpet. On the wall above the couch was an image of an ocean scene that could be almost anywhere and the standard grey slim arm chairs had been replaced with softer larger armchairs in a dark blue that looked inviting to curl up into. On top of the standard carpet, the sitting area was covered in a plush rug in different shades of blues that matched the ocean in the photo. On the other side of the room where she mostly worked, there was a tall leafy plant near her desk and a single silver photo frame on the corner of the desk where she could easily see it when she worked at the computer terminal. Overall, the place was warm but practical and uncluttered- much like Janna.

“So, what did you think of Stark?” Kingston said as she took up residence in on of the large armchairs, setting the PADD down on the little side table. Her green eyes casually studied Viyara.

Upon entering the office, Viyara took a moment to look around and take everything in before slipping into the other armchair. Without missing a beat she answered, “Intriguing.” Tilting her head ever so slightly she continued, “He isn’t the easiest person to read, but that mysteriousness is half the fun, isn’t it? So I can’t wait to meet him later and talk some more.” With her arms resting on each of the armrests, Viyara was sitting in a relaxed and comfortable position on the chair while she kept looking straight at Janna. There was still a hint of mischief on her eyes as she asked, “How about you?”
