While her charm and flirtatious nature had gotten her through most evaluations with ease so far, the medical ones tended to be a little trickier. After all, there was nothing she could do about the tricorder readings or her medical record. So Viyara found herself standing in front of Sickbay for a few moments longer than she’d want to admit even to herself before taking a deep breath, putting on a wide smile and stepping through the doors as they swished open in front of her. Looking around, she tried to catch somebody’s eye who might be willing and able to take care of her boarding evaluation.

Two people were discussing something in the back of the medical bay, the shorter noticed the woman enter and said something to the taller who looked at the woman and nodded. They exchanged a few more words before the taller turned around and moved towards the scientist. He was a thin man with dark brown hair in a long white coat, he stopped about a meter and a half in front of the woman and gave her a polite smile “Can I be of assistance?” he asked.

Viyara smiled charmingly at the man in front of her. For a moment or two she didn’t reply and instead let her mismatched trail slowly over his body, taking in every inch of him. There was a hint of mischief in her voice and eyes as she finally replied, “I’m sure you can.” Her long, dark purple hair was tied back into a messy ponytail with a few lose strands falling into her face, partly hiding her Trill markings.

Benjamin blinked twice at the woman, clearly expecting her to say something else “Alright, why don’t you go and have a seat” he said after a moment’s hesitation. He moved to the side and indicated to the nearest free biobed.

Without a word Viyara made her way towards the indicated biobed. As she walked past Benjamin, her hand brushed (accidentally?) against his. Glancing back over her shoulder she added in an off-hand way, “My name is Viyara Nazeen, by the way,” before hoisting herself gracefully on to biobed. She was enjoying herself very much and distracting doctors had always proven to be a good method to keep them from asking too many questions. At least that had been her experience so far and hopefully it would prove correct again today.

Benjamin cocked his head, distracting attitude and usage of full name with no rank implied a certain carefree attitude. He brought up the scientist’s medical file from memory, usually, he would simply bring it up on a PaDD but this time he decided against it “Ensign Nazeen, Sohiri Colony, several bone fractures in childhood to arms and legs, adult injuries include fractured ribs, hip and collarbone. Previously treated for tendinitis” He said as if he were reading the file. He grabbed his tricorder and removed the medical wand and started the scan, slowly waving the wand around “Any recent injuries or ailments I need to be made aware of?” He asked with a polite smile.

“Nothing I can think of,” Viyara replied, ignoring the information he quoted from her personell and medical file. All the while she kept looking straight at Benjamin with a lopsided, slightly mischievous smirk still playing across her face. As he scanned her, he would see that she was in very good health and shape. But he would also see that she had a few, almost completely healed bruises on her left hip, thigh and knee and there were faint traces of scrapes on the palm of her right hand.

Benjamin smiled slightly “Excluding the healing bruises and scrapes of course” He said calmly, she seemed to wish to avoid any further medical related discussions “Please lie down” He walked to the side of the bed, tapping at the Biobeds scanner, if she wouldn’t speak then a more detailed test was in order. This was going to be either interesting or fun, perhaps both.

Still sitting upright, Viyara looked Benjamin deep in the eyes (if he let her) and smiled, “I’m sorry I forgot about the bruises and scrapes. I don’t even notice them anymore and it was a minor accident.” Deciding to go with truth, while omitting a tiny detail, she continued, “I went rock climbing and at one point payed closer attention to the person I was with as it was their first time, than to where I placed my hand. My right hand slipped as some rocks loosened and I bumped against the side of the mountain with the left side of my body.” She paused for a short moment, pondering how to continue from here on and eventually said, “As for the information from my medical file: None of them are recent and all have healed well and quickly.” She hoped that he would be fine with that explanation and just clear her for duty, but she had a nagging feeling that this doctor wouldn’t let her go as easily as some of his colleagues had in the past.
