V’Lath stood staring out the large viewport at the enormity of space. He wondered what the future would hold for him. This was to be his first assignment to a ship, prior he had taught at the academy as a post graduate instructor for several years, now he was heading to the depths of space at last. He checked his PADD which showed a diagram of the starbase, he found a nearby lounge and headed that way. Upon entering he spied a small empty table and took seat. Soon a young Terran girl came and asked if he would like anything. “A large Vulcan coffee please, hot, and black.” The young girl scurried off to fill his order. He placed his PADD on the table and pulled up a diagram of the Ark Angel, which was the ship he was being assigned to as Security officer. His coffee soon arrived and he took a brief sip, savoring the deep flavor. Hopefully transport would not be too long in coming.
