Ari smiled as they murmurs of congratulations and nods passed around the bridge. “I think you should return to the Science Bay, at least for a bit. Your fellow crewman need to be informed of the change of command and why Barr is no longer with us. Once everything is settled, by all means, join us back on the bridge.” She smiled and nodded knowing that being on the bridge in the thick of things, was where more department heads preferred to be. But right now, keeping structure and making sure no one was misunderstanding what had occurred was more important. When things happened, and they would, it would happen quickly. And the chain of command was something imperative at such moments.

“And information about the augmented humans, or as much as we know, are in the mission briefs you now have access to. It isn’t much. Just that we definitely don’t want to wake them and let them know we are here. Or this may be one of the shortest missions of the ship.” She tried to laugh and keep it light, but the look on her face was anything but merry.

With the Intel Officer so engrossed in whatever he was working on, Prescott took up the other console beside him and was looking at the code as well. She was sure he knew what it was about, but she was curious if she could figure it out for herself. Wasn’t he always testing her to ‘know more’ and ‘be better’. Now was her chance. Perhaps she could figure it out as well.

Roger smiled and nodded. “Of course, Captain. Wonderful idea. I’m honored to take on this new position and I promise I will do my best.” He stood. “I’m just a call away if you need me.” He said, grinning. Then he turned and made his way back to the turbolift.

Isaac was watching the reading on his Consol Consol keeping an eye out for anything out of place. He then looked up and around the Bridge bridge then he lean back and stretched his back out intill he felt a relaxing pop “ah that’s better”

Lt. Sanks was still at his console trying to figure out what the morse code was saying. He didn’t want to get the translation wrong, but also wanted to know why someone was using such an old way to communicate.

Baumann watched the morse code on the display, and gritted his teeth as the Captain discussed the augments. He had hoped to keep that information out of the gossip mill unless it was absolutely necessary to disclose it to the crew… as in only if they found the vessels. Sighing, he focused on the display and waited for a translation.

Fleet waved at Sanks. “Hey, Rog., send me the Morse Code. Me and my sis used to send each-other Morse Code messages all the time when we were kids and I’m really quick at decoding the stuff. Plus, right now the helming is pretty chill.” He winked.

Elizabeth frowned slightly to herself. How was it so many others ‘grew up’ with something so archaic? Was she the only one on the bridge who knew of but knew nothing about Morse Code?

Baumann looked over at Fleet and said “Precautions must be taken, Mr. Fleet. The computer will give us a solution soon enough and that will be reviewed by Lt. Prescott and myself before we send it on. I would like to ask for your assistance if we need to send a message back, however.”

Ari smiled as Baumann piped up before her. “I agree. I don’t want your attention divided at the helm right now. But I am glad everyone is eager to get involved. Not many ships are that way.” She knew she had a good crew, already. But every time they all tried to pitch in like this, she was once more reminded of it.
