Ari sent word to Medical to stand by. They were approaching a nebula of unknown makeup. While no problems were perceived as being forthcoming, she also reiterated it was times like this when the unknown always bit them in the backside. She recommended plenty of stock on hand to care for plasma burns, and electrical emergencies in case the ‘unknown’ quality of the nebula decided to try and chew the ship up.

Rachel gathered her Assistance Doctor NE Blackwell and NE Nurse Tyler together, the entirety of her staff “We don’ now bad or even if things’ll get bad. You both know yer emergency procedures. The beds are for priority cases, the examination chamber for the most serious. We have supplies aplenty but donnae go overboard” She spoke slowly and with calm, she was rarely excitable during an emergency situation, a fact the two found comforting “An’ if NE Donnelly comes without serious injuries throw him out, the man’s a borderline hypochondriac” She explained “And the Deutscher is in the naughty corner an’ he isn’t to be told” She added sternly before waving her staff away.

Rachel and her staff continued their preparations in quiet, only disturbing the silence with the occasional remark about supplies and the like. After they had finished she gathered her two subordinates “Alright, Doctor Blackwell, you go rest until either an emergency happens or when it’s time to relieve me, Tyler you’ll be on the first half of my shift then rest until the second half of Blackwells, I’ll have NE Sender assist me if necessary, barring any unforeseen circumstances this should be a simple enough of an assignment.” Her accent was more understandable as she explained this, a conscious decision on her part “Any emergencies that can’t reach our door will be treated at a case-by-case basis but it’s likely that Blackwell will handle all of those.” SHe explained.

A latecomer to the medical call to arms Atozi stepped into medical and looked around, having caught the end of the conversation she quickly asked the woman who she recognised as the chief medical officer, “And where would you like me, Lieutenant?” The Andorian woman stood her antenna twitching as they picked up the air pressure and density in the room though Atozi could sense the adrenaline some of the other medical officers could feel as they prepped for potential medical emergencies.

Rachel spun around and examined the new arrival “Ah yes” She took a few steps forward then bowed slightly from the shoulders, an Andorian greeting. “I’ll have you on shift with me then Ensign, Sh’qyrin isn’t it” She cocked her head slightly “We haven’t had time for introductions unfortunately, It’d be nice to speak with an Andorian again, good time to brush up on the ol’ Andorii” She said sporting her signature crooked smile. She turned to NE Tyler “Then you go rest and join Blackwell later, this’ll simplify things” The NE nodded in acknowledgment.
