The message went out and was marked URGENT on everyone’s comms in the morning when they got up. From the linguist to all the JOs, the message rang across the ship like a silent alarm that blinked bright red when folks woke up.“Good morning, crew.
As our refit finally starts to wind down and draw to a close, it’s that time again. All JOs are to report to Cargo Bay #3 at 1100 hours to help with replenishment. This is mandatory and all hands are required to attend. Shift Supervisors please bring duty rosters for head counts and distribution of personnel for this 15 hour revolution.
See you all there

CO”The message went out just before the missive for the DH meeting.

COWhen Naomi saw that message and the format, her anxiety jumped to new heights. Then she spotted refit which made her relax. As her heart settled down, she moved toward the cargo bay. Her PADD in hand and using the map with the trick the CO taught her.
Calling all the JOs meant it was going to be crowded. She cringed at the thought as being in tight places never settled with her. It was a big negative to parties and crowded events.
I’m such a nerd. She mused at herself before she entered the room, being one of the first JOs inside.

Beth came in at a jog and was glad she wasn’t the last, or the first, one there. She saw Naomi and smiled and nodded. “Hi, I’m Elizabeth. Security flunky. So any idea what’s going on? Is this a regular thing?” Her eyes were entirely too bright and she had too much energy to be ‘right’ at this time of the morning. But to her she seemed her usual self and never understood how others weren’t morning people.
Despite her bubbly morning personality, there were hints of things amiss. She had a black eye that was a few days old and her short sleeve uniform showed several bruises up her arms and clear hand prints in the form of bruises around the base of her wrists. The bruises had started to turn dark purple from the deeper almost black they had been the day before, but it was obvious they were still relatively fresh.

(temp relieved of duty)El didn’t have to jog in though another ensign had ran past her as she had neared the Bay. The ship was huge, but not that huge that she couldn’t walk from engineering, down a deck and to the Bay. 11:00 was almost lunch so either they were going to have a short work of it or they would be bringing in bag lunches. El slipped in not far behind Prescott, wiping her hands off on the polka dot bandana she had at her hip. A small streak of grease graced her cheek. Catching the introduction she realized she’d seen her in the galley but that was it. Thus far El had kept to herself. She did, however, notice bruises and the black eye and wondered what fight she had lost. She did hear ‘Security’. Training maybe? She liked it rough? Who knew. Father said there were all kinds of people out there and to not judge. El always had trouble following that though.
“Hi,” she said. “I’m El.” Looking at Elizabeth she said, “boy they really train you hard in security.”
Looking about she took in things. “If they want us all here we’re probably part of a bucket line of bringing in supplies.” She shrugged. The machine shop where she had been organizing had been sparse so this made sense.
