It was 1900 hours when Baumann and NE Paterson made their way to the XO’s office. Between them, hands tied together behind him, was NE Jensen. The man was staring at the deck as they walked, a bloody towel wrapped around his right arm. As they approached the door, Baumann slammed his hand into the chime. He looked at Paterson and jerked his head, and Paterson turned Jensen to face the bulkhead. They waited for a full minute and then Baumann found the nearest comm terminal and keyed it. [O] Commander Baumann to Commander Millet. Please come to your office immediately. This is a serious matter, Commander. [C] and he closed the comms.

Jensen growled low under his breath, but set his head against the wall. Every part of his body hurt right now. He knew his arm was screwed. And his headache from the hit was enough to keep him groggy, bordering on nauseous.

Patersen leaned close to his ear. “You better quit, Jens. Something tells me he’s not opposed to dragging you unconscious into the XO’s office.”

Jensen just remained silent as Patersen looked up at Baumann, then back down at the deck, one hand still holding Jensen’s good arm.
