SNIP
OOC: THis takes place outisde the main sim time I reckon, I’ll just contact someone OOC to let them know.
HjorturOOC: This Side Sim is an independent, mini mystery story of mine. It has nothing to do with any other Side Sims or the Main Sim because no connections were discussed with me about it. It’s not even a positive it’s running around the same time as the other threads because of time being very flexible and fluid here. So I’m a little confused to why there needs to be a cross-post for a reply. If needed, I can insert an NE armory officer.
-Janice B.
OOC: There isn’t, that was at least supposed to be my point. Let’s give it a day or two before creating an NE.
-HIOOC: Though I think it’s been about a week now. Should I keep waiting or go ahead and put in the NE now?
-Janice BIC: Stasky nodded. He was relieved people were starting to believe him finally as he allowed the Vulcan healer to care for his hand. The man couldn’t help the slight trembling that budded, his breath inhaling and exhaling softly. It was a reaction brought on by anxiety which pulsed through him. After Stovik finished up, Stasky listened to the recommendation causing him to state something he feared was true.
“I suppose I’m relieved from duty until it’s healed?”
As the computer read the residue, it confirmed the chemical was traces of hydrochloric acid. The amounts were very small which explained the delayed deterioration of the skin. It seemed to be evidence that the Science officer’s PADD might’ve been laced with it, but that could be only confirmed when they found the item itself and tested it.
“Doctor, traces of hydrochloric acid is confirmed so a padd registered to Mr. Stasky should have traces on it as well.” Stovik reported as he began to tidy up the medical equipment he had used and put the tools in the sterilizer.
Healer Stovik
Naomi groaned inwardly at the mention of bringing in the armory group. This wasn’t something she wanted. She didn’t need strangers interrogating her about her actions for the last twelve hours and giving her a headache, her fingers reached up to rub away the stress.
“This is turning into a huge headache for some simple information over a missing chemical,” Naomi complained, “Why did I lose that bet to do the paperwork?”
After rubbing her temple a moment longer, she turned to the CMO and the healer.
“Well, you got a place I can sit while we wait for the armory officer to get here? I’m pretty sure they will want to question everyone involved.”

Rachel indicated to any of the three Examination beds all of which were unoccupied “You know I don’t think I’ve had these many people in my Sickbay for a long time now.” She looked at the now-injured scientist and the Vulcan next to him and smiled absentmindedly.
Dr.Grey - CMO
Frank seemed to be becoming increasingly less interested in socializing with the brash Dr. Grey, but as Locke was more or less in charge the older man continued to wait to receive instructions, occasionally fiddling with something on his jumpsuit.
Frank Silva, Science
Naomi sighed, accepting the nearest one. She plopped herself onto the soft, gel-like surface while she waited. Minutes seemed to slip into hours thanks to her boredom. After a bit, she turned to Silva and asked, “Why do you think someone would want the chemical, you suppose?”
Though the question was directed at him, she had said loud enough for anyone nearby to hear.

“I couldn’t tell you, Ma’am,” Silva reports to Locke as he thinks about it some, “I mean there are a few medical and scientific applications, mostly as a precursor to fluoride based compounds, but it is also a contact poison. Unless the crew is freebasing antidepressants then I would assume the use is mostly for a contact poison.” He shrugs looking up, “But perhaps our work here is done, Ma’am? To be honest I do not relish just standing around. Chemistry is hardly my specialty. “
