It had been three weeks since they had survived and escaped the sphere. The inhabitants were now getting settled on the surface, and the Bonnie was about to head out. She severely needed repairs and the crew needed a rest.

She had invited all the Senior staff as well as the Linguist and the Science officer, Naomi, who had been such integral parts of the rescue. They were having a final dinner with the Bane. It seemed appropriate since that was how this whole adventure had started just over a year ago. People had been lost, a couple had been gained, and allies (she hoped) had been made.

She stood at the window in the dining room, drink in hand, and waited for the others to arrive. And hoped that Bane would feel up to it as well since she hadn’t heard from him in several days.

Alison made her way into the Captain’s dining room. It was the first time she had been invited there. But it was nice to be done moving the survivor’s to their new home, and that was better then their last mission. She was looking forward to getting back to something quieter. Hopefully they would have a nice scientific exploration for their next assignment.

“Captain,” she said as she walked in.
