The Captain’s voice popped up. [O]Barr.. make it quick, and tell them they are unloading and heading back for more. We need as many runs as possible. Clear in docking bay one. Unload and get everyone to you bring in to the mess hall. We’re gonna be crowded quickly. Minimal rations when they get hungry but let’s hold out as long as we can on water and juice and tea till we see how bad this is gonna be.[O]

[O] Understood Captain. As soon as we dock, we’ll flip this shuttlepod and head back for another load. [O]

“Alright everyone, it looks like we are looking to evacuate the surface. So as soon as we dock, head for the mess hall, and I will go back for another fun.”

Docking would go smoothly allowing everyone clustered in the shuttle to stream out.

After docking the young Engineer would respond, “Lt. Barr, I think I better head down to engineering to help there in this time of need. Thank you for allowing me to join the landing party.”

“Ensign,” Alison said turning around in the pilots seat as she was finishing up the landing check list. “You’re welcome to join my team anytime,” she said with a smile before turning back to the controls.

Time seemed to slow down. Despite the bustle, people weren’t coming to the Bonnie quick enough.

Shuttles from the cities and from the star ship worked quick and sure. And the transporters were popping folks aboard one by one. Ari watched the stats and listened to the comms as she also watched the structural integrity readings… she wasn’t sure they’d make it.

[O]Barr to the bridge. I am unloaded, refueled, and headed back to the surface for another load. [O]

As she said it, she signaled to the watch officer that she was ready to depart.

Alison flipped the last controls as the bay was cleared. As soon as the doors opened, the shuttlepod was lowered out of the Bonnie. Setting in the coordinates, she pointed the shuttlepod back at the sphere.

She tapped the console. [O] Attention all away teams. A ship will be docking with the City Sphere. I want everyone on board that we can get. Shuttles, keep bringing them here. If we are stuffed, we’ll see about crossing to other ship at first opportunity. And guy… be alert. We are gonna get resistance from outside. I want everyone at Red Alert.[O]

Alison swung the shuttlepod back to the sphere, heading straight towards the designated pickup point. Coming in for a smooth landing, she popped the hatch.

“Hurry up! Let’s go!” she called out thru the hatch.

Not far from where Alison ‘parked’ she could see Bane’s vessel there. At the moment it didn’t look ‘that’ big. Not far away from her as well were three other small vessels docking. They were between the size of their pod and the Bonnie though each one looked rather worse for wear. The other small issue that Alison found was that the docking was complicated by the City Sphere moving, shifting its mooring location and visibly shuddering.

Alison shifted in her seat as the dock shuddered. Pushing herself up and out of the seat, she leaned out the hatch. “Who am I taking? We’ve gotta get going!”

The ship came over the comms to Barr. The orders were to take her shuttle and move to the chains holding the sphere to the structure. She was going to use the shuttle phasers to weld the scraps the Bonnie lifted into place with tractor beams. They were going to bolster the anchors in hopes of keeping the sphere from breaking free.

[O] Shuttle, prepare to phaser on my marks. Incoming coordinates now. We will raise the debris, you stick it in place. Got it? [O]

[O] Stand by. I’m heading into position right now. [O] Alison said as she slammed the hatch closed and jumped back into the pilot’s seat.

Breaking away from the dock, Alison pulled away hard to avoid the city sphere shifting on its moorings. She headed for the first location.

[O] Bonaventure. I’m in position. [O]

It took a couple minutes to get the piece lifted to the right spot, but the Bonnie did her best. If she could get it in place they would be set. [O] Stand by, Barr… when you see it stop, phaser that thing as quick as you can.[O] She watched with crossed arms, one hand to her mouth as she tapped her nails on her teeth in nervousness to see if they could make it work.

The phaser light shot out in stark contrast to the darkness around them. The Bonnie had to fight against two things .. one was the placement of the piece and the other was to keep it in place. Freed from the general area the gravity of the singularity was pulling it toward its maw forcing the Bonnie to keep it in place to be welded.

As the reinforcement went on, Ari tapped out for her cook to bring her and the bridge crew something to eat. She then tapped out for the galley to send food to the main departments for crewmen unable to get to the galley to eat. Her final command was to the various department heads to remind them to rotate folks out to give them a break.

They weren’t out of the woods, yet. And if company showed, they needed no one passing out from hunger.

One piece then a second were welded into place. That was the plan for the other 2 chains as well if nothing else went wrong.
